On October 24, in the Round of 1/16 of the NUC Cup TV360, the men’s basketball team of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) had a nail-biting showdown with Phenikaa University — the host of the tournament.
From the very beginning, both teams went head-to-head in a highly contested game, constantly trading points. Every possession was executed with caution, precision, and strategic discipline from both sides.
The turning point came in the final minutes, when VNU’s captain delivered a crucial basket — giving VNU the lead for the first time. Despite Phenikaa’s high-pressure push in the dying seconds, VNU’s solid defense held firm.
In the end, VNU defeated Phenikaa 30–27, securing a convincing spot in the Round of 1/8!
This victory once again affirms VNU’s strong presence at the NUC Cup TV360 — fully ready for tougher challenges ahead!
