On the afternoon of February 18, 2025, at the new football field in VNU Hanoi (VNU) Urban Area in Hòa Lạc, a friendly football match took place between VNU Headquarters and the Center for Physical Education and Sports (PES Center). This meaningful sports event helped connect staff, lecturers, and employees across VNU while also welcoming the Lunar New Year 2025.
The event was honored by the presence of distinguished leaders: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hiệu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Standing Vice President of VNU; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đào Thanh Trường, Vice President of VNU; Comrade Bùi Lê Vũ, Chief of the Party Committee Office at VNU; Comrade Nguyễn Quang Huy, Standing Vice Director of the VNU Project Management Board; Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Oanh, Vice Rector of Vietnam-Japan University. Additionally, the event welcomed the Board of Directors and staff of the PES Center, creating an engaging and meaningful atmosphere of exchange and connection.

Right from the first minutes, both teams entered the match with high determination, delivering impressive plays. The match lasted over 2 thrilling halves, featuring intense but fair competition. After numerous opportunities, the match ended in a 1-1 draw, demonstrating the balanced strength of both teams.

Inauguration of the New Football Field – A Modern Sports Space at Hòa Lạc
On this occasion, the PES Center at VNU officially inaugurated the new football field in VNU Urban Area, Hòa Lạc. This facility is part of the VNU Sports Center Project (QG-HN07) and was completed after nearly six months of construction. The two artificial turf football fields are now available for:
- Training, physical education, and professional development.
- Hosting sports tournaments for VNU staff, lecturers, and students.
The introduction of the new football fields marks a significant milestone, enhancing physical education training quality and meeting the exercise needs of VNU staff, lecturers, and students. These football fields are now available alongside the existing golf practice area, which remains a popular destination for VNU faculty members and is also used in teaching for VNU students.
Promoting Sports Culture and Strengthening the VNU Community
The friendly football match between VNU Headquarters and the PES Center not only provided an exciting competitive experience but also fostered a sense of unity and collaboration among different units.
