During the weekend of October 4–5, 2025, at Foreign Trade University Gymnasium (91 Chua Lang Street, Lang Ward, Hanoi), the 2025 Hanoi Open Karate Championship for University, Academy, and College Students took place with the enthusiastic participation of numerous athletes. The Karate Team of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) delivered outstanding performances, earning multiple medals and leaving a strong impression at the tournament.

Behind these proud achievements lies the dedicated leadership of Dr. Trinh Kien, Deputy Director of the Center for Physical Education and Sports (CPE&S) – Head of the Delegation, together with the coaching staff: M.A. Le Tuan Hiep (Deputy Head of the Sports Department) and Coach Dam Hai Yen, who have constantly inspired and instilled martial spirit, enthusiasm, and perseverance in every athlete. The assistant coaches also played an essential role, providing silent yet crucial support throughout the training and competition process.
The Organizing Committee of the 2025 Hanoi Open Karate Championship for University, Academy, and College Students successfully delivered a professional, fair, and large-scale tournament, promoting the development of Karate among students across Hanoi’s universities and academies.
As the 2025 season concludes, the VNU Karate Team not only brings home valuable medals but also continues to demonstrate team spirit, resilience, and the aspiration to rise higher. This success marks a vital stepping stone for the VNU Karate Club and its athletes to continue growing stronger and conquering new goals and challenges in the future.
