On March 14, 2025, the Trade Union of the Center for Physical Education and Sports (PESC) organized the Conference on Outstanding Union Members for the 2020-2025 Period to review the emulation movement, honor outstanding individuals, and gather feedback to enhance the efficiency of union activities in the upcoming phase. The conference was conducted following Official Letter No. 01/HD-CĐ ĐHQGHN dated February 17, 2025, with the objective of evaluating achievements in training, sports, and extracurricular activities while setting directions for improving the emulation movement.
Participants
The conference was attended by the Board of Directors of the Center, department heads and deputies, and all faculty members, employees, and staff. The event was chaired by:
- Dr. Nguyễn Ngọc Minh, Deputy Director of the Center
- Comrade Nguyễn Văn Tình, Chairman of the Trade Union
- MSc. Lý Thị Ánh Tuyết, Deputy Head of the Department of Sports
Reviewing the Emulation Movement & Honoring Outstanding Individuals
During the conference, Comrade Nguyễn Văn Tình, Chairman of the Trade Union, delivered the summary report for the 2020-2025 period, emphasizing the growth of the emulation movement in teaching, scientific research, sports, and extracurricular activities. The Trade Union has continuously innovated its activities, motivating union members to take responsibility and actively contribute to the overall development of the Center.
In the awards section, Comrade Nguyễn Văn Tình announced the list of honorees:
- 17 outstanding individuals received commendations from the Trade Union of the Center for their exceptional contributions.
- 6 exemplary individuals were nominated to attend the VNU Trade Union’s Outstanding Members Conference.
These honorees have made significant achievements in their professional work, sports activities, and trade union initiatives, thereby fostering a strong emulation spirit across the Center.
Feedback & Refinement of Reward Criteria
The conference also served as a platform for union members to discuss areas for improvement in the emulation and reward system. Key feedback included:
- Enhancing the transparency and fairness of the award evaluation process.
- Clarifying criteria for recognizing outstanding individuals, considering both personal achievements and contributions to the collective.
- Encouraging broader participation in the emulation movement, ensuring more union members receive recognition for their efforts.
These suggestions were acknowledged by the Trade Union Executive Committee, which pledged to refine the evaluation and recognition process to ensure a fair and motivating reward system in the future.
Launching the New Emulation Phase
Building on the success of the 2020-2025 period, Dr. Trịnh Kiên, Deputy Director of the Center, officially launched the 2025-2030 emulation movement. He highlighted the Trade Union’s role in fostering solidarity, encouraging innovation, and enhancing the quality of teaching, research, and sports activities.
Additionally, Dr. Trịnh Kiên proposed further improvements in the reward mechanism, ensuring timely recognition of the contributions of union members, thereby fostering greater motivation and engagement.

In his concluding remarks, Dr. Nguyễn Ngọc Minh reaffirmed that:
