Pickleball is a sport that combines table tennis, tennis and badminton. It has simple gameplay and is suitable for many different audiences. As a result, Pickleball is often called a “family sport” because it can be fun for the whole family and provides exercise. You can play Pickleball in many locations and many different types of courts such as basketball courts, tennis courts, badminton courts or maybe even in the parking lot.
Pickleball was created in 1965 by Joel Pritchard – a former member of the United States Congress, along with two friends Bill Bell and Barney McCallum. Initially, their idea was simply to create a fun game to entertain family and friends in the area where they lived in Washington state, USA.
However, this game quickly spread to other states in the US and became a popular sport. By 1976, Pickleball had official rules and the American Pickleball Association was established. Since then, the game has spread around the world and is played in more than 40 countries. When you experience the Pickleball sport, you will definitely have exciting and memorable moments of entertainment.
In the past 3 years, Pickleball has been present in all parts of the world and was voted the fastest growing sport in recent times. In Vietnam, this sport has only begun to develop in the past few months, but has already attracted many players. For many people, initially they only thought that this would be a sport for the elderly, children to play or at most a light sport to participate in to solve their fitness needs. However, the more people play, the more they understand why this sport is developing so quickly in the world.
