The tournament aims to create a playground for physical training, enhancing the health and fitness of staff and trade union members across VNU units. It also responds to the nationwide movement of physical exercise following the example of President Ho Chi Minh, contributing to celebrations of major national holidays, and commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi (October 10, 1954 \u2013 October 10, 2024)<\/strong> and the 42nd Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20, 1982 \u2013 November 20, 2024).<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The VNU Trade Union<\/strong>, in collaboration with the Center for Physical Education and Sports<\/strong>, organized the “2024 VNU Trade Union Football Tournament.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The tournament is held to provide a healthy platform for solidarity, exchange, and learning among staff and players from various universities, schools, centers, and institutes under VNU. Taking place from September 28 to November 9, 2024<\/strong>, the tournament gathers 13 teams<\/strong> divided into three groups<\/strong>: Groups A and B with 4 teams each, and Group C with 5 teams. The tournament promises exciting matches and beautiful goals, showcasing a vibrant and enthusiastic sports spirit. It is certain that the players will give their all to contribute to the success of the tournament. The tournament includes prizes for First Place, Second Place, Third Place (shared), Fair Play, Top Scorer, and Best Goalkeeper<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Comrade Trinh Kien<\/strong> – Deputy Director of the Center for Physical Education and Sports and Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      On behalf of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Thuy<\/strong> delivered the opening speech, officially launching the 2024 VNU Trade Union Football Tournament.<\/strong> Following the speech, the Organizing Committee presented commemorative flags to the representatives of the participating teams.<\/span><\/p>\n
